This blog is all about celebrating. Today, I’m celebrating the baby bump and, as always, my sweet mini schnauzer, Burkeley! The bump is here, it’s happy, and it’s growing and growing and growing. At 18 weeks, I find myself insistent that a shirt that does not fit today fit just three days ago. I welcome the change, I celebrate it, and I say, “Grow, baby, grow!”
I’ve said it before, and I’m going to keep on saying it: Potter+Butler clients know style. Kate Spade NY agrees – as Cally and Vincent’s wedding was chosen to be featured by Kate Spade NY’s Aisle Style. We had the fun of making both the Stand Tall Escort Cards and I Belong Place Cards for this stylish bride’s stunning New York wedding.

Piper Marie is newly two! That’s more than reason to get fancy and festive. We were honored to be asked by Wiley Valentine’s- and Piper’s creative mother, Rachelle Schwartz, to design the cake topper for such a special occasion. To check out all the merry details, visit the feature on On To Baby.

Potter+Butler clients, Mary + Paul, are married. Hooray! Their incredibly beautiful wedding is featured on Style Me Pretty. Check it out. The details are delightful. This wedding is the definition of impeccable style and coordinating, if you ask me. And our Cake Poms have never looked sweeter.

Happy day, friends! My husband, Adam, and I are excited to announce we’re expecting a wee little one to enjoy this great life with. Come late January, there will be an entirely new reason to celebrate (and reason to create celebration goods, of course)!
I’ve had the joy and honor of hearing about, and creating for, your little ones as they celebrate milestones – gender announcement parties, 100 days celebrations, first birthdays, all other birthdays, graduations, weddings… the list goes on. I’m one happy camper to be joining the ranks of all of you sincere, inspired, love-filled, joy-filled, celebration-loving, creative mothers.
Cheers to motherhood!
While poolside parties and beach bonfires are still happening in abundance, we’ve got our minds on your fall and winter celebrations. Here’s a sneak peek at our seasonal topper for fall 2012. We call it, simply, the Pinecone Cake Topper with Custom Banner.
We’re in love, quite frankly. Not because of our work, mind you, but because of that fact that nature’s work now meets up with sweet and delicious cakes.
You see, all we’ve ever wanted is to plop nature’s beauty on our cakes. Now, we’ve done it. With a food-safe layer of a mini tart pan to make it possible (a soft moss bed inside the tart pan makes it a comfy ride for the cone). And because personalized is what makes a topper something special, we’re throwing in a custom banner so that you can declare why all gather with smiles. Stay cool this summer + enjoy the anticipation of autumn – and all the celebrations that come with the beautiful season. We certainly are.
The fact is, some cakes just like to get a little rowdy + let loose + be colorful + make a statement. For those cakes: Cascading Fringe Garland Cake Topper. You pick the colors. It provides the joviality. Now available in the shop and ready to party!
Wave that banner high – or stick it in the cupcake and call it a party. Your call. New in the shop: Celebration Banner Cupcake Toppers. Completely customizable and ready to add to your festive merriment. We love them for not only cupcakes, but for small bites and place cards, as well. Available now in the shop.
It’s Friday. It’s time to jump in the air, click our heels, and toss our hats in the air. And… it’s time to get our DIY one. I came across this DIY chevron streamer tutorial from the Betsy White blog, and I want to point you in its direction. It’s super simple, which is super appreciated. We know you all are loving the chevron party style, so this is perhaps right up your festive alley.
While you have the scissors out, head on over to Oh Happy Day and check out the tutorial our friend, Jenny Batt, shares on how to step up the festive pep of drink umbrellas. It’s all in the details. Case and point.
Have an absolutely amazing weekend!
